Spend your afternoon exploring the outdoor areas outside the city. Green Lakes State Park is a beautiful, wooded area with bright blue water. Hike through lush forest trails over wooden bridges and through a variety of trees. Swim in the shallows at the beach and learn about conservation efforts at the environmental center. There’s also a golf course nearby you can stop off at. The whole area is especially stunning in the fall when the leaves change into a cascade of colors. Also close by is Oneida Lake, a massive space used for all kinds of water recreation. Rent a boat and go tubing, look for bright sailboats, take a kayak out and paddle around, enjoy a quiet fishing hole, or grab some sun at one of the beaches around the coast.  

For dinner, head back downtown to Clinton Square, the historic business district. Peruse the city streets lit up for the evening and select a local restaurant or pub to dine in.
