Here are some helpful tips to make sure your time at Lynden Pindling International Airport is smooth sailing:

Departure

  • We suggest arriving 3 hours before your scheduled departure time.
  • All Guests traveling to the United States must go through Preclearance before their flight. As this can take some time, please arrive early.
  • Once you go through Preclearance, you don't need to go through Customs when you arrive in the U.S.
  • Our check-in counter is in the U.S. Departures building, lower level, on the far right-hand side.
  • Our check-in counter opens 3 hours before departure time to check bags and support Guests' questions.
  • Checked bags must be checked in no later than 60 minutes before departure. This is when our counter closes.
  • If you don't have any bags to check, head straight to the security checkpoint.
  • Gates are in the U.S. Departures building, on the upper level.
  • Your gate number can be found on your boarding pass and airport displays.
  • Be at the gate ready to board no later than 45 minutes before departure.
  • You'll be using a jet bridge to board the plane.

Arrival

  • If you've checked bags, follow airport signs to the bag claim.
  • Please check the display board for bag claim carousel details.

Transportation

  • Follow airport signs to the rental car desks, which are in a separate building in front of the airport.
  • Check with your hotel or resort to see if they offer shuttles. It's best to schedule and pay for these in advance.
  • Taxis are available outside the Arrivals terminal and do not need to be scheduled in advance. Check with your taxi driver because not all taxis accept credit cards.
  • The closest public bus (jitney) stop is a 5-15 minute walk from the airport to John F. Kennedy Drive. Buses run from 6 am to 6 pm and cost around $1-$3 per ride.
  • Rideshares are not available in Nassau.
