Celebrating Pilots Around the World

Did you know? The inaugural World Pilots’ Day was first celebrated on April 26, 2014. Since then, each year, we've celebrated this special day to honor our amazing pilots. Their dedication and resilience not only ensure our safety but open up the world to all of us so we can explore, connect, and experience the miracle of air travel. So, please take a moment the next time you fly to thank your pilot!Â
Celebrating Our Pilots
At Breeze Airways, our pilots are more than just aviators – they are the heart and soul of our airline, embodying our core values as a company. Our pilots ensure that every journey with Breeze is not just a flight, but an experience to remember. They navigate the skies with precision, allowing our Guests to travel safely and comfortably to their destinations. Â
But their role goes beyond just flying planes. Our pilots are ambassadors of our purpose: "Nice people, flying nice people, to nice places." They embody the spirit of hospitality, greeting Guests with warm smiles, reassuring words, and a genuine commitment to making every flight a pleasant and memorable one. Â
Since our first flight, we've been soaring to new heights, thanks in large part to our pilots. In just three years, we've expanded to serve 56 cities across 29 states. And this week, we celebrated a major milestone: welcoming our 500th pilot to the team! Â
And, on top of it all, our pilots go above and beyond to extend their impact on the communities we serve. Recently, Assistant Chief Pilot Captain Margrit Fahan and fellow pilots visited Robinson High School to inspire the next generation of aviators. They shared insights into the pilot's life, handed out cookies, luggage tags, and stickers, and encouraged students to pursue their dreams in aviation. It’s moments like this that make our Breeze pilots extra special, and we are so grateful to have a great team at Breeze.Â
On this special day, our pilots were featured on Tampa Bay's Morning Blend. Check out the video below!
Becoming a Breeze Pilot
We welcome all interested pilots to apply for a position at Breeze, even those just starting out. Our Embark program has allowed us to continue our rapid growth, while also bringing new pilots into the industry faster and easier than ever before. Embark is designed to prepare aviators to work here at Breeze and gives applicants access to a Breeze Mentor and training tools designed to make the transition from flight instruction to airline flying as smooth as possible.
This program allows certified flight instructors at partner schools with 500 hours and a CMEL to receive a conditional offer from Breeze Airways. Current Embark partner schools include ATP Flight Schools, Epic Flight Academy, Utah Valley University, and Southern Utah University. We are grateful for each pilot who has joined us through the Embark Program and look forward to many more to come.Â
